Mary Anne S. Daly is a mom of two sons who were born at a birth center and at home respectively in 1995 and 2000. After seeing a documentary about water birth on public television as a girl, she filed the image of gentle, easy labor into her memory and ten years before giving birth embarked on an extensive self-study to discover tools for a natural, pain-free gentle labor. At 35, her first birth at a birth center in Northern California was called a “miracle birth” by the midwives because she was so calm and pain-free. The next birth at home was similar and Mary Anne began informally coaching pregnant women 14 years ago. Mary Anne says: “The guiding desire for me was to provide information and tools and to create a sense of calm confidence in pregnant moms-to-be.” Her 14 year old who was born at home noticed the way babies always have a smile for her and dubbed her “The Baby Whisperer”. Happily married since 1992 to the man she met 30 years ago, it’s been her dream to create this website to support pregnant moms and their families in creating an empowering experience that brings a gentle nurturing entry into the world for their babies.
Mary Anne has helped many people buy homes and manage their real estate financing as a mortgage advisor for the last 12 years. She has a music video called “Queen of the Loan” to introduce herself to prospective clients. When she’s not helping people with their mortgage loans or coaching pregnant moms, she can be found creating delicious food for friends and family, playing music with her bluegrass band, working on her children’s album or most importantly spending time with her family in Mill Valley, California.
